CompuColor was a real bargain when it was announced. For $1700 you got a color monitor, colorful key board, a least $1800 worth of software. As we soon learned, the designers scrimped on the electronics. They failed. A chemistry professor a Standford (retired) gave me three. The first one plugged in caught on fire and so did the 2nd one. I decided not to plug in the third one.
